I am fascinated by the graphic impact of light, shadow and color patterns
that happen in nature during the day
and seasons.  Using washes of color, allows me to
enrich my paintings the way nature creates
 transparent washes of natural and
reflected color and discover patterns and textures that happen along the way!
The experimental nature of water media, allows me
to be constantly enlightened
in
discovering color, form and texture in my compositions!

With degrees in Studio Art from Douglass College of Rutgers University and
Graphic Design from Tyler School of Art,
my paintings have evolved from work in
oil and  watercolor, as well as printmaking in
silkscreen and lithography.
The graphic quality of an image is especially exciting when working on images
found in nature and using color patterns and transparent washes.

I especially enjoypainting subjects plein air, on site and also in my studio.
When I am painting, or considering a subject, I am always drawing on my creative history
to capture the uniqueness of the image, realistically and graphically.

Exhibiting my work in solo, group, and invitational shows, my paintings are also
on exhibit at the Artists’ Gallery, 18 Bridge Street - Lambertville, NJ 08530.
